Learn Italian in Italy (Perugia or Lucca)

The language immersion program is offered either in Perugia (Umbria) or in Lucca (Tuscany).

The Perugia (Umbria) program combines structured lessons in Italian grammar and pronunciation with both role-playing and supervised real life ‘role-playing’ to immediately use what was learned. For example, if you role-played how to make a purchase in a supermarket, you will then go to the supermarket with your teacher to do it for real! Lessons do not take place in a classroom, but rather they are held in such places as a café, a museum, a garden, a church, a theatre… Italian culture is taught through interactive language lessons in these and other cultural places.

The Lucca (Tuscany) program takes place at the school and offers not only established and effective courses of general Italian, but also personal solutions to meet the needs of the student. In the school you will find everything you need, from grammar, conversation and specific language areas, to a more “holiday” approach if you choose the course option that includes various outside activities.

Lucca will become the classroom where you’ll learn everything to service your needs, whatever they may be; shopping, asking for information, ordering in a restaurant, or getting to know the secrets of Italian culture and mentality. This is an adventure that should not be missed, an adventure that offers the opportunity of personal growth as well as a new language. So that learning Italian language in Lucca will combine study and fun.

For both Perugia and Lucca:

Courses are limited to 6 students. Students should plan to arrive on a Sunday (for those in Perugia, a brief get-to-know-Perugia tour will be given to all students and a guest) and to depart on a Saturday (classes are held Mondays through Fridays. Students may register weekly or monthly.

PRICING for Immersion Program

Courses begin every Monday and lessons are held Monday through Friday.  There are three pricing options: 20 semi-private hours weekly; 20 semi-private hours plus 5 private lessons; 20 semi-private hours plus 10 private lessons.

Note: Entrance fees for museums, concerts, or other activities (such as the evening activities and any travel fare are not included in the total cost.

INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE LESSONS (private lessons outside the immersion program)

Once a week: 1 hour = 20 euro; 2 consecutive hours = 35 euro

Twice a week: 1 hour = 35 euro (total); 2 consecutive hours = 70 euro (total)
